At 2240 masl, Uraga Bisrat washing station supports some 600 smallholder producers. Water from the nearby Tebie river is used to wash and then ferment the coffee - between 36 and 48 hours. After washing the coffee is sun dried for 7 - 21 days, protected from the scorching heat by shade nets and cloths. This coffee is sweet and rich, with bergamot, berries and peach. It's crisp acidity rounds as it cools.
